Mexico. Panasonic participated in the design and installation of various audiovisual solutions at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium, EAHH, home of the Red Devils of Mexico; from its system of screens and cameras in charge of entertainment, as well as the broadcasting equipment of its particular channel, Diablos TV.
Panasonic's alliance with this world-class stadium began with the integration company Artcoustix, and has managed to position each baseball game since 2019 as a unique experience for the spectator thanks to the quality of video production, deployment of innovative content, and new ways of interacting with the visiting public, which gives a festive, fun and special family atmosphere to any other sporting event we could find in Mexico City, and perhaps the rest of the country.
But what is that technology that makes the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium a first-class space?
Within the "hell", as many say to the house of the Red Devils of Mexico, there is a system of 11 giant screens with Panasonic LED technology (ten of them with pitch 10 and Full HD resolution connected via fiber optics and with IP65 standard of resistance to the weather), including straps and a mesh screen, a digital signage system with dozens of flat monitors and a wide range of cameras, switchers and Full HD recorders for the production of video and television content, so the stadium offers a complete family entertainment experience that goes beyond the actions inside the diamond.
With these technological resources, both the fans who visit the stadium and those who follow the game from home through the signal generated by Diablos TV, live closely the emotions of the scarlet team.
"None of the baseball stadiums in Mexico have this type of screens in the gardens, in addition to having ribbons at the level of boxes and upper stands, which, on the one hand provides the details of the game, repetitions and statistics and, on the other, there are informative flashes and spaces for sponsors, which also drives the commercial issue, "- " said Guillermo Dávila, Professional Audio and Video Manager of Panasonic Business Mexico.
The EAHH solution consists of:
A translucent mesh screen of 23.8 x 8.84 meters (with resolution 512 x 1092 and the only one with pitch 42.5) that acts as a large blind: on the one hand it welcomes the public that approaches the stadium and, at the same time, shows the main building of the building.
Two giant LED screens for the top of the gardens (21.12 x 11.52 meters) in which the game scoreboard, statistics, player profiles and entertainment dynamics such as the Kiss Cam or advertising videos are displayed.
Two LED screens for the green wall of the gardens (with dimensions of 24 x 1.92 meters) that are used as a complement to the contents displayed on the large screens or as a support for entertainment activities, such as the appearance of the pet or the group of cheerleaders.
Four digital straps in the division of the two levels of the grandstand, two of 70.4m x 0.64m and two of 62.4m x 0.64m. They show sponsor logos, basic player information and supporting content for entertainment activities.
Two LED screens located on the green wall behind the home or batting plate, with dimensions of 3.84 x 0.96 meters. In them the image of the sponsors of the team is displayed. These screens appear squared in all shots of the pitcher's pitches during the game's television broadcast.
Control and Animation Booth: It is the space in which all the systems and equipment necessary for the display of image and content on all screens are controlled, in addition to the local sound that informs and encourages the public, the management of statistics and social networks. Artcoustix was responsible for the integration of the space: from the furniture and racks to the installation of the necessary wiring to provide the connectivity that each system requires.
Digital Signage: More than 80 Panasonic monitors (with LED technology and 65-inch flat screen) were installed in different areas of the stadium, such as the dressing room, gym and dining room of the local team, dressing room of the visiting team, the two dugouts or benches, Diablos Store, consumption centers, offices and common areas of the stadium.
Boxes and Terrace: Each of the 22 boxes have a Panasonic LED monitor with a 40-inch flat screen so that its occupants can follow the actions. The exception is the main box, which has four 55-inch monitors, and the terrace, with three 55-inch monitors.
Diablos Store: Artcoustix installed the digital signage system with Panasonic video monitors, in addition to audio, video surveillance, smoke detection and network systems, using equipment from various manufacturers.
