Latin America. Within the framework of NAB Show 2024, JVC Professional Video, the division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation presented Merlin Distributor, which officially represents the company in the region, with a certificate of recognition for achieving a 60% growth in sales in Latin America during the 2023 fiscal year from Sergio Constantino's own hands, General Manager – Latin America Operations at JVC.
In this regard, Constantino himself refers to it saying: "In fiscal year 2023, Merlin achieved significant growth in sales in the line of 4KCAM camcorders (GY-HM180 and GY-HM250), in addition to the line of PTZ cameras, mainly focused on the KY-PZ400N model, thus achieving a sales result 60% higher than in fiscal year 2022. For the 2024 fiscal year that begins now, we have high expectations of a further increase in sales, due to the new AV Division that Merlin recently opened to serve all of Latin America." – referring that this award is the result of the fact that: "Merlin Distributor has helped us a lot with the demand from Latin American resellers, they always collaborate strongly with the promotion and support of JVC products in the region, and without a doubt we are projecting a very positive year in Latin America".

JVC has high expectations for 2024 to continue increasing its sales in Latin America together with its master distributor in the region, based on its important launches at the fair, highlighting among many its PTZ camera model KY-PZ540 of the series with 40x zoom, which bring the novelty that incorporate focal depth and are designed with JVC's 4K image generator and with JVC's renowned technology: Variable Scan Mapping, which dynamically scans the 4K sensor to produce a smooth, lossless image transition of up to 40x in Full-HD. The KY-PZ540N adds the integration of NDI HX3 capabilities, but both models also come with SRT, RTMPS, HEVC/H.264/USB UVC. These cameras are ideal for large event spaces and cases where zooming is necessary from a long distance and won TVTech's "Best of Show" and Videomaker's "Best PTZ Camera" awards.
Also on display at JVC's large booth at NAB Show was firmware version 3 for its award-winning CONNECTED CAM PTZ KY-PZ510 and KY PZ510N cameras, and which is also available for the KY-PZ540 and KY-PZ540N models, which with this latest free update, users now have access to five different Auto Tracking settings, including Standard, Area, Stage, Wide Area, and Fine Adjustment options. The new firmware will also make it possible for users to set presets for exposure, color, and image, among others, a feature that will be released on all NDI-compatible JVC PTZ cameras.
In the same vein, a free firmware update for the JVC RM-LP100 remote camera controller and web interface was also highlighted at the booth, which can now be used to send Auto Tracking commands for cameras via WEB API.
