Chile. The year 2024 has started with optimism in the Chilean audiovisual market, with encouraging signs both in business closures and in the identification of new prospects and projects in development. This positive trend is given by Álvaro Amar, general manager of Lapshop Chile, and supported by reports from several integration partners, who also report good performance in their respective areas of work.
In terms of AV technology demanding segments, retail continues to lead the demand for digital signage solutions, both in hardware and software. On the other hand, the corporate sector has rapidly adopted Direct View LED (DVLed) technology in meeting rooms and auditoriums, replacing projectors and LCD screens.
In this context, control rooms are also undergoing a transition to DVLed solutions, evidencing a significant shift in market preferences.
As for recent projects, Álvaro Amar highlighted the implementation of an emblematic control room for Telefónica, which included a large 9-meter-wide DVLed screen, replacing a video wall of several LCD screens.
"In the banking sector, we are about to start the installation of an impressive 24-square-meter screen at the headquarters of an institution in the sector. In addition, in the field of retail, a project of more than 200m2 of Absen LED screens was recently delivered to the advertising company Instore Media, which sells advertising spaces in the Jumbo supermarket chain," he said.
As for the projections for the company and the industry in general, they maintain a growth expectation of 30%, with a particular focus on increasing LED sales in collaboration with Absen. "The AV industry continues to experience positive momentum, reflecting the acceleration and validation of technologies in recent years," he said.
Finally, in terms of sustainability, LapShop is committed to the Absen Green program, focused on reducing consumption and waste, as well as recycling and reusing old hardware initiatives. In addition, they collaborate with Absen Energy in the development of sustainable energy storage solutions, strongly believing in their potential to drive mass adoption of sustainable technologies in the industry.
