AVI-SPL Acquires ICAP Global

AVI-SPL adquiere ICAP Global

Latin America. AVI-SPL announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the ICAP Global Group of Latin America and Spain. The two companies will merge under AVI-SPL. This is AVI-SPL's second acquisition in the region, after it announced the purchase of Grupo Multimedia de México at the end of 2022.

With this new business, AVI-SPL becomes one of the largest global providers of audiovisual (AV) technology, unified communications and collaboration (UCC), workspace management and technology expertise, able to serve customers worldwide locally.

Founded in 1957 and with operations today in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Spain, ICAP Global is a market leader with a strong reputation for exceptional expertise in technology, service and value-added distribution. The combined entity will be uniquely qualified to advance the transformation of the digital experience for customers around the world with the broadest portfolio of AV, UCC, IoT and Managed Services, supported by the largest global team positioned locally in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

With this acquisition, no other single vendor offers the same breadth of digital workplace solutions with the same global support capabilities. This expansion deepens AVI-SPL's commitment to serving Spanish-speaking markets, where there is enormous demand from both local and global companies. Recently, AVI-SPL acquired the Multimedia assets to support growth in Mexico. Now, with ICAP Global's talented teams and established business locations, AVI-SPL will offer clients in Latin America and Spain the expertise needed to quickly and successfully navigate the complexities of doing business in each region.

"We have long admired ICAP Global's remarkable success and industry leadership," says John Zettel, CEO of AVI-SPL. "They have become the leading provider of AV and UCC services in their markets by consistently creating customer value through outstanding quality and exceptional service. From now on, we will work and grow as one as we expand globally to serve our customers locally wherever they need us."

"The AV and Integrated Technology Experience industry is undergoing tremendous transformation and growth. We see this as the ideal time to join forces with AVI-SPL to be able to serve the majority of customers in the largest number of regions with exceptionally consistent customer services and experiences, enriched by cultural diversity," comments Martin Saul, CEO of ICAP Global Group and Chairman of the AVIXA Board Leadership Committee.

"As AVI-SPL continues to grow globally, this acquisition expands its domain expertise, regional understanding and local talent to ensure its clients successfully leverage modern work tools in their organizations. AVI-SPL and ICAP Global are known for inspiring trust in their customers and suppliers and developing loyal and long-lasting relationships. Customers of both companies can continue to expect AVI-SPL to anticipate their needs and exceed their expectations by providing globally consistent delivery and an exceptional user experience to increase adoption of technology in the workplace and drive growth," the company said in announcing the deal.
