Mexico. Technological innovation, incorporation of artificial intelligence, as well as various solutions to integrate a smart home of the latest generation of lighting, audio and video were presented by Savant during the Summit 2024, held in Mexico City.
"We have a very special event for all customers who currently sell and promote Savant, showing them new products, launches, showing them more categories about the brand and demonstrating how the brand is growing in different aspects of the market," Edgar Saldívar, general director of the company, told AVI Latin America.
And he specified: "Savant has three interesting aspects. From lighting, from panelized controls to the fact of being able to offer products that can help with better lighting, whether we are talking about color temperatures, color dynamism or simply dynamic white changes. In the second section we are in the control part, which is the core thing that Savant does, integrating any type of solution in a residence in any type of project. As a third point and no less important is the energy part. We are pushing too much the energy storage part that can help us and help end customers to be able to have the decision of how to use their energy within their residences and their projects."
The executive said that, although the market is specific, they have managed to grow considerably, given their elements that distinguish them from their competitors. "One of the main differentiators that the brand has is the user interface. Normally it is usually a great challenge for the customer to understand how a smart home works, because everything is integrated, we forget about the switches, about different devices that we are used to using and we have everything centralized on a single platform. One of the great challenges that any client takes with us to automate a nursing home is how do I use them, how do I understand it? How do I make it easy to use my smart home?"
Regarding the growth of the company in the region, Saldívar mentioned that they focus mainly on the Mexican market: "As AIVA we only cover the Mexican market, however, Latin America is controlled by another company that you know well that is called Polaris. But really today the expansion of the brand is doing too good, little by little people are understanding and betting on a technology different from the traditional that already existed".
On the adoption of smart technologies in the daily life of the Mexican market, he said: "It is a great challenge. We have markets in Mexico that are very recurrent and that are much more. One of the great advantages, and it could also be a differentiator of Savant is that it was created for the iOS platform, so Apple's software was developed through the iOS platform so that gives us an ability to have a 100% integration with Apple. One of the next innovations that we are going to launch during this year will be precisely to be able to integrate Savant City, which through the Apple Watch smart watch you can say a command to Siri and it will execute it if you have an automated house.
Also participating in the event were José Pech, head of the company's Technical area; Romina García, lighting designer; and Gimena Gil from the Marketing area of Savant. Partner companies such as TP-Link and Geiger participated in the event.
