DAS Audio presentó MARA y MARA-SUB, crece la serie ARA

Latin America. MARA is the new powered cardioid line array system that joins DAS Audio's ARA series, which also includes the LARA and SARA. With the launch of this series, DAS Audio has managed to open doors in highly established markets, such as international tours, music and large-scale events.

Designed for medium to large events, the MARA combines a symmetrical, cardioid design with a continuous power of 4200W RMS. Capable of achieving a maximum SPL of 148 dB. Its custom components include two 10" speakers for bass frequencies, another two 8" for mid frequencies and two 6" speakers in cardioid configuration, while high frequencies are managed by two M-78N compression drivers with 3" coils. In addition, the system is available in two horizontal coverage options, 80º and 100º, adapting to different acoustic configurations and types of events.

The technology that powers MARA includes a Class D six-channel amplifier with switching power supply and power factor correction (PFC), ensuring stable and efficient performance, regardless of variations in electrical voltage.

The system's cardioid design allows for rear attenuation down to -12 dB in the 80 Hz to 200 Hz range, providing precise sound control and minimizing unwanted emissions on stage.

MARA-SUB, the complement to MARA, is a cardioid powered subwoofer that incorporates a 21" front speaker and an 18" rear speaker, both with 4" coils. This design offers -14 dB rear attenuation in the 32 Hz to 125 Hz range, ensuring exceptional control of low frequencies, while internal DSP processing optimizes the signal and ensures consistent performance.

Its robust birch wood construction with ISO-flex™ coating ensures durability even in the most demanding environments, and its rigging system allows for easy integration with MARA's arrays.

The ARA series, with the addition of MARA and MARA-SUB, represents a complete solution for the professional audio industry. LARA, with a power of 6000 W RMS and a maximum SPL of 150 dB, is designed for large-scale events. For its part, SARA, more compact, offers a maximum SPL of 142 dB, making it ideal for medium-sized events.

In addition to these systems, Point Source solutions such as ARA-P12 and ARA-P28 are available with rotatable dispersion patterns of 110º x 50º and 70º x 40º, as well as the ARA-M210 stage monitor, which provides specific coverage of 50º x 70º and a power of up to 143 dB SPL.

"We are very proud of the work done with the ARA series. These systems position us among the most important brands in the professional audio industry. We know that we compete in well-established markets, but we are fully confident that the technology, innovation and performance of the ARA series will open many doors that previously seemed unattainable," says Javier Navarro, CEO of DAS Audio.

All ARA Series solutions are supported by ALMA, DAS Audio's control and monitoring platform. ALMA integrates tools such as DASaim, which uses FIR filters to optimize directivity and sound coverage, and Health Check, a function that allows the health of the system to be evaluated through impedance sweeps before and after each event. This ensures reliable performance and simplifies system management in any application.
