For this year, a new product was presented at the Infocomm 2007 show that allows, through a real-time analysis of affordable frequency, access to the information of the radio frequency spectrum, making it possible to manage large quantities of wireless channels without major problems such as those previously presented.
Following problems with wireless frequencies, Freeman and his team decided to use the Spectran HF4060, which made it possible for them to bring 140 Mic, Com and IFB wireless channels to the AARP National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, and operate without any failure.
This new equipment that covers the frequency range from 10MHz to 6GHz, and that allows the visualization of all radio frequency activity from 70MHz - 80MHz for listening devices assisted through VHF & UHF, throughout the journey up to 6GHz; it also makes it possible to see at the highest frequencies the radio frequency activity for remote wireless control of AMX and Crestron, Wi-Fi, intercom, etc.
It also has other features such as hot keys assignable for 10 users, which provides instant access to the frequently used radio frequency bands; in addition, manual entry to any starting point and frequency stop.
"There are a total number of menu items, such as resolution, sweep time, antenna types, etc., but the flaws set by Kaltman Creations (the distributor in the United States) seem to cover all our needs related to Pro Audio, AV. All these features, and much more, are also available through the included PC software."
Another important aspect of the Spectran HF4060 that Freeman mentions, is that the usb computer interface of this equipment and the included software, make it possible to scan a frequency range before starting your first wireless device; Additionally, he comments that his experience with this equipment was good, because when implementing it he managed to find spectrum spaces to put his equipment to work, confirming much of the pre-production work he had already done.
All these analyses, the implementation and use of the Spectran HF4060 have been positive as proposed by Ken, who recommends the use of this system.
