New solutions with low power consumption

United States. New technologies being developed in the audio and video industry not only benefit end users but the environment by reducing energy consumption. The new internal HD-SDI video input and output card developed by NEC Display Solutions, is the latest innovation of the company that provides LCD, plasma screens and projectors for residential and commercial customers.

The new card is compatible with MulteosT systems, Multi-Function series and large NEC MultiSync® LCD screens. This card, the newest development of NEC's broadcasting initiatives, was presented at the 2008 National Association of Broadcasters show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The HD-SDI is installed internally versus an external converter device that requires additional cables and power source. The card's compatibility allows it to be used in the company's award-winning products such as MultiSync LCD4020, LCD4620, LCD5220, LCD6520P and LCD6520L, and Multeos M40 and M46, which will be especially important for the broadcasting industry. It should be noted that the card is not compatible with NEC's large-screen AVT models, as in these versions the expansion slots are occupied with digital tuners.

This new piece complements the work of TV One, which specializes in video, audio and multimedia processing equipment, says Emily Urlich, business development specialist at NEC Display Solutions. For his part, David Barnes, president of TV One, says that the company is very satisfied with this new alliance with NEC. He also says that this card is adapted to CORIO2 technology  because it is much more flexible and has the capacity not found in other predefined chips .
