United States. Two 5.1-channel mixers from Linear Acustics UpMax are rolling out in the twelfth season of the reality show "Dancing with the Stars." According to mix producer Bruce Arledge Jr (left) and music mixer Mark King (right), the UpMax system offers a consistent and transparent mix of the show's production elements in 1.5 broadcast.
"I can mix the samples in stereo through UpMax, then mix it again and so it's transparent between my shipment back and forth. Many of our contents are delivered in stereo. UpMax also eliminates potential transmission errors," said Arledge Jr, who is using an UpMax for the main show and another for the show's summary, which runs at the same time as the main one.
King recommended UpMax for "Dancing with the Stars" after using it in a Golden Globes television broadcast, in which he was the production mixer.
