
The first option is the same technology used by laptops or cell phones, also known as "liquid crystal." The so-called "HD Ready" can display images of up to 1366x768 pixels, while the "Full HD" play movies of up to 1,920x1,080 pixels; in both cases, they are "high definition" televisions.
In turn, LEDs are a kind of "evolution" of the LCD, allowing a sharper image and a much thinner screen, with the novelty of 3D technology that allows you to see images that protrude from the screen in the same way as it happens in cinema. Of these, those who arrived in Argentina are all large, as explained by Gustavo Biassoni, marketing manager of Samsung: "We decided to bring only the largest, because there is still not much market for this type of equipment and we seek to cover those who are looking for the latest technology."
This technology can be fully exploited, using high-definition cable and satellite television signals or by tuning the signal of the new open digital television; with Blu-ray movies; games on consoles like PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 that play high-definition games and some also function as movie players.
