The Scarlett 18i8 interface is the latest generation of this FOCUSrite USB equipment, which has 18 inputs and 8 outputs, a team specially created for instrumentalists, producers and small bands who want to record audio from a wide range of sources such as drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
The equipment has four microphone preamplifiers, round-trip latency up to 2.74ms and two headphone outputs that allow different monitoring configurations to two artists or an engineer and an artist.
As it has 18 independent ports, the equipment can be left with all instruments connected and ready to record, while the preamplifiers feature 48V phantom power and higher linear gain, maintaining low noise and distortion levels and a unique dynamic range in its class.
Its digital conversion system works up to 24-bit and 192 kHz to capture high-quality audio.
