Extron Electronics announces the HD 4K 101 Plus, an HDMI cable equalizer that supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 with 4:4:4 chroma sampling. Used at the target end of a long-span cable, the HD 4K 101 Plus actively evaluates signals from poor or marginal sources, reduces instability and distortion, and adds pre-emphasized outputs to extend the reliability of the HDMI signal extension.
When using an Extron Pro Series HDMI cable, distances of up to 75 and 35 feet can be reached for 4K/30 and 4K/60 signals, respectively. The HDCP 2.2 compliant equalizer supports HDMI 2.0b specification features, including data reference rates up to 18 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, lossless HD audio formats, and CEC.
Also, to optimize integration, the rack unit can be powered by the connected HDMI source, or by an optional external power supply. The compact design and built-in capabilities make the HD 4K 101 Plus the ideal product for discreet mounting in a wide variety of permanent installations and temporary applications.
