Vitec's MGW Ace hardware is a powerful streaming solution that provides high video quality and compression of up to 50% bandwidth, along with built-in protection to ensure video distribution over any network, including the Internet.
The equipment is the first HEVC / H.265 decoders in a portable format, achieving a reduction of latency to 70ms at each end while maintaining full HD resolution, which can be used in sporting events or even images for military use.
Integrated with any video environment, the MGW Ace Encoder offers a selection of inputs including 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVI, HDMI and composite video, as well as analog and digital audio. Also the built-in hardware scaler can be used to scale down in real time, crop, sample frames and deliver optimized video output.
Additionally, the equipment features a low level of power consumption compared to software-based HEVC encoders that run on multi-CPU servers and are practical for use in mobile applications, such as TV trucks, briefcases, automotive, and aircraft.
