Hall Research's Javelin Plenum 4K HDMI extension cables use optoelectronic technology to transmit signal beyond the limitations of copper cables, with the added bonus of having removable ends of the HDMI connector and a micro HDMI connector that can pass through small holes, pipes or conduits.
The cable is available in lengths of 10, 15, 23, 30, 46, 60 and 100 meters, and its main features include the ability to handle any resolution or color depth, including non-standard video formats, provided that the maximum data rate is less than 10.2 Gbps. It does not use compression, so the image on the other end of the cable is 100% identical to the source.
As the signal is sent using pulses of light, the cable provides greater immunity to EMI or RFI interference and there is less chance of video drops occurring due to ambient electromagnetic noise.
The cable can be used as a normal HDMI cable and allows its use in any installation environment, such as home theater, conference rooms, schools, airports, hospitals, among others.
