Renewed Vision
Renewed Vision announced a new software update for the third generation of its ProVideoPlayer multifunction media server. Version 3.1 adds communication capabilities that allow it to be controlled by external devices, such as lighting consoles and custom automation systems.
The PVP 3.1 adds support for the industry-standard DMX512-A lighting control protocol, allowing the versatile media server to be controlled from popular lighting consoles and other DMX-compatible activation devices, allowing operators to control it at the overall workspace level or for individual layers.
Its features include selecting and activating predefined tracks and playlists, specifying blending modes for particular layers, activating effect sets, and more. It also has authentication that prevents unauthorized users from entering and taking control of the system, a particularly critical aspect in live show spaces.
The software is ideal for fixed and event-based applications in markets including broadcast, corporate events, concerts and other vertical markets.
