The Versa-4K is the newest addition to Hall Research's AV over IP product line that extends and changes multiple 4K video signals via HDMI and USB, and two-way IR, RS-232 and auxiliary audio signal, to nearly an unlimited number of receivers using Gigabit network switches.
The equipment has low latency, videowall mode to expand to multiple screens, rotation and rotation of video, IR, CEC and Serial-over-IP for control. The system also offers automatic KVM switching, telnet and web GUI control, USB device class filtering, and Power via PoE.
It supports any HDMI resolution, including 4K, 60Hz 4:4:4 with HDCP 2.2 and includes an HDMI video loop output along with extracted HDMI audio for added flexibility. It includes an HDMI output with extracted HDMI audio, bidirectional IR, RS-232 and four USB ports, two USB 1.1 ports for keyboard and mouse use, and two general-purpose ports, which support touchscreens, memory devices, and many other USB device functions.
In a 1-to-1 configuration no external network equipment is needed, just connect a Cat6 cable up to 120 meters between the two ends, while in a many-to-many configuration, a dedicated gigabit network switch (with IGMP and Jumbo-frame support) is required.
