The EX-4KU Wall Plate Extender Kit is comprised of a single-unit wall transmitter plus a compact receiver and is used to extend 4K video, HDMI, and USB data over a single UTP cable, and incorporates HDBaseT 2.0 technology to extend video and USB without latency and zero compression.
The wall-mounted transmitter features an HDMI input plus a USB port for connection to a host, such as a computer, and supports all PC and HDTV resolutions up to and including 4K UHD. On the other hand, it has two USB charging ports for convenience. The extender is compatible with all USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices, such as keyboards, mice, touch screens, interactive whiteboards, and USB cameras.
A single CAT6 cable connects the transmitter to the receiver and the system supports distances of up to 40 meters for 4K video or 70 meters for 1080p video. Full-duplex RS-232 also extends and can be used if a serial control is needed. Power is sent from the receiver to the wall plate via the same CAT6 cable for clean and quick installation.
