Latin America. Sony announced its latest addition to the line of monitors for medical use, it is the 32" MiniLED 4K HDR LMD-32M1MD model, designed to provide a visual experience in surgical environments.
It features Sony's advanced Local Dimming (Backlight Master Drive) technology, which precisely controls the dense mini-LED array of the panel's backlight, ensuring incredible brightness and high contrast.
By independently controlling the LED backlight sources in the light and dark areas of the image, the LMD-32M1MD monitor achieves noticeably improved black color reproduction and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. With a maximum brightness level exceeding 1850 cd/m²; in addition, it is the first monitor for surgical use in the world to receive VESA Display HDR1000 certification (as of January 2025).
In brightly lit operating rooms, the LMD-32M1MD minimizes screen reflection to give surgeons a clearer view. Sony's unique Anti-Reflection technology combines two reflection removal technologies: low-glare and anti-glare treatments are applied to the surface. This combination reduces the amount of light reflected and diffuses incoming light, resulting in ultra-high-contrast images and true-to-life colour reproduction.
