MatroxMatrox Video introduces Monarch LCS, a compact, easy-to-use conference recording device that features two inputs. Monarch LCS supports video from any SDI or HDMI camera, as well as computer presentation content via an HDMI connection. Inputs can be encoded separately and synchronized for use with the latest multi-stream video players. Moreover, inputs can also be combined before encoding into a variety of production schemes, including picture-in-picture and side-by-side, for use with standard video players.
Monarch LCS is a highly reliable standalone network device that IT administrators will be able to easily configure and integrate into video management systems (VMS), such as Opencast and Kaltura, and into learning management systems (LMS), such as Moodle. Its intuitive web interface makes it easy for users to define profiles for recorded and live lessons by mixing camera footage and presentations from SDI and HDMI sources.
In the case of recording applications, encoders create MP4 or MOV files directly in network mappings, which eliminates the need to transfer the files after the lesson. In addition, local USB drives and SD cards can also be recorded.
