Platinum Tools' Net Chaser Ethernet Speed Certifier and Network Tester are the solution designed to quickly test and certify the data transport capabilities of Ethernet network cables up to 1 Gb/s, detecting network noise and wiring failures.
To certify Ethernet speed performance, Net Chaser performs bit rate (BER) testing by sending data packets over specified cable spans at defined data rates to check for errors at peak throughput.
The device also provides continuity tests that detect openings, short circuits, incorrect cables, split pairs, reversals, and high-strength failures while accurately measuring distance to failures and total cable length.
