One of the case studies that will be presented at TecnoMultimedia 2010 is the installation of a modern sound system in a mega auditorium at the Christian Fraternity of Guatemala, carried out by engineer Alejandro Bidondo.
The two essential variables that are required for the spoken word to be understood by the audience were taken into account: acoustics and electroacoustics. Initially, the auditorium had a reverberation time (RT60) of up to 10 seconds, a value more than excessive for any venue.
Today, thanks to the architectural and acoustic work team, made up of the architect Gabriel Barahona, responsible for the work, and the engineer Alejandro Bidondo, responsible for the acoustics, the reverberation time is 1.4 seconds with the room empty and 1.36 seconds to a full room, having successfully achieved the objective and demonstrating that a project of this importance should be attended by experienced professionals of proven effectiveness.
