ALOOHA, a leading Spanish company in the provision of digital signage services for commercial communication and advertising at or near the point of sale, expands its offer of advertising and digital information media (dPoP®) with the commissioning at the beginning of last December of a new DOOH circuit in the Baricentro Shopping Center, the first to be inaugurated in Spain with this format 30 years ago.
In each of the 6 accesses to the center, an interactive digital tactile directory (dDIT™) has been installed, replacing the obsolete static paper directories. Thanks to the careful design of the graphics, texts and menus created by ALOOHA for Baricentro, the client navigates in an intuitive and simple way through the application until they find the location of the business or service sought, and the information available for it, permanently updated and in any of the three available languages: Spanish, Catalan and English. Navigation is very easily done by touch using a single finger (monotouch technology).
On the other hand, the circuit of digital oppis or dPoP® as ALOOHA calls them is composed of 11 audiovisual supports strategically distributed between the two commercial floors of the Shopping Center. Depending on the location of each of the dPoP®, the self-supporting model has been installed standing or the wall or column model, more compact and also allows its orientation in one direction or another (such as the one shown in the attached photo).
Each of the dPoP® incorporates a highly directive sound device in the direction perpendicular to the projected image, thus avoiding unnecessary noise pollution, as well as a system of analysis of the direct impacts that look at the contents projected by each dPoP®, through an application developed by ALOOHA based on non-intrusive facial recognition.
The transmission of digital information to all elements of the ALOOHA DOOH circuit is carried out mainly by PLC technology, thanks to which both the power supply of the digital media and the digital signals and contents travel through the same cable, with the consequent saving of costs and installation time. ALOOHA is a pioneer in the use of this technology for this type of application in Spain.
Since its inauguration at the beginning of December 2011, the circuit has been very well received and accepted both by the shops of the Baricentro Shopping Center and by its users and customers, and soon ALOOHA will implement new services that promote and promote the sales of advertisers who increasingly bet on these innovative means for their efficiency and profitability, to the detriment of traditional media.
