Monday, 16 January 2012 11:24

The Correos group is a public limited company currently composed of four companies: Correos y Telégrafos, Chronoexprés, Nexea and Correos Telecom. Within this business conglomerate Correos y Telégrafos is the operator that by law has been entrusted with the provision of the universal postal service for the next 15 years, and where the Correos group has marked quality, efficiency and innovation as basic objectives to maintain leadership in the postal sector in Spain. Currently the group has more than 62,000 professionals, 4,400 million shipments per year and more than 10,000 access points to its services that also make it a leader in capillarity and coverage.

Its permanent vocation of modernization has led it to incorporate new technologies in all its operational processes, from the postal processes themselves to the processes of internal operation and corporate communication. As part of this renewing impulse, VITELSA has recently completed a technological modernization project for Correos y Telégrafos within its Headquarters, located in the Campo de las Naciones in Madrid.

The technological project has been divided into two distinct phases:

1) Improvement of Corporate Communication. An advanced Digital Signage System has been implemented at the headquarters, configured by VITELSA engineers to have a centralized content management and fully accessible in the network. The custom design is easily scalable and allows the remote control and sending of high-definition content via LAN or Internet to the players associated with the screens, depending on the scope and destination of the information.
Also from the implemented solution you can create the programming lists that automatically control what the contents should be played at all times and installed screen, being able to support in the future the transmission of live events. Initially, the service has been launched in the entrance hall of the building for the issuance of corporate content and Information of interest to customers and visitors to the headquarters.

2) Technological modernization of the main Assembly Hall. The ability to project audiovisual content in the room has been improved through high-definition and large-format screens from PHILIPS, with a visual area of 65 inches and mounted on mobile supports to facilitate multiple configurations of the room and maximum visibility from all angles.

Additionally, a 42-inch screen has been repositioned to facilitate the monitoring of projections from the presidential table, where HDMI video connections have also been installed that facilitate the projection of high-definition content from a laptop.
