Magnetic levitation technology is nothing new, this technique that uses the repulsive force of magnets has been used for a long time and has one of its most notable applications in magnetic levitation trains, which employ a large number of magnets to achieve their levitive displacement. But technology is always looking for innovations and these do not necessarily have to come from new inventions, they can also come from creating new uses, to inventions that already existed, such is the case of the Lounger chair from Hoverit Ltd.
This colorful futuristic-looking chair is a wonderful application of magnetic levitation and was developed by the British company Hoverit Ltd. The chair is built by hand and its operation is based on a system of permanent magnetic fields, which keep it floating.
But what is most striking is its ability to maintain stability, thanks to the guides it has on the sides. Although it seems unbelievable, we can move this chair from one room to another, using the wheels it has at its base.
To its ethereal appearance contributes the material with which it is composed, transparent acrylic, which allows you to see all the elements that make it up and gives it that glazed air. To avoid possible scratches and marks, a protective varnish was applied.
Visually this chair is quite a spectacle, since whoever sits on it will seem to be suspended in the air. But as if that were not enough, the action of the powerful magnets that compose it, has therapeutic effects and contributes to relieve muscle and headache pain.
