Accelerated development will continue in 2014

With the news during the first days of 2014, it can be expected that this year the industry will continue with the accelerated development of new technologies, which will require a lot of dedication on the part of those who belong to this industry to be updated and be able to take advantage of them resulting in innovative facilities.

In video, during the last CES fair you could see curved and high-resolution screens 4K and 8K. Interactivity in projectors and a greater number of lumens will prevail for education and the corporate segment. In audio, a greater use of IP networks is expected, defining for which applications it is most useful. There will also be special attention to the increasingly close integration of the audiovisual industry with information technologies.

It will be necessary during this year to monitor the importance that Brazil is taking for the audiovisual world. Not only speaking in terms of the market, which we obviously know is the largest in Latin America, it is because of the interest of several manufacturers to open new production plants in this country.

Obviously, as in the last seven years, from AVI Latin America we will be attentive to these and other issues that allow us to provide tools to support growth, in addition to continuing to bring the new trends and technologies of the industry.

And to actively support this growth, we will continue with the realization of the TecnoMultimedia InfoComm show in our region. It is now five years bringing the latest technology and certified training to the industry. And for this year there are several novelties.

The first of these is to reach the Brazilian market, with the realization for the first time of the show in Sao Paulo in May. The second is about the Colombia show, which changes its venue and will now be held at the Corferias convention center in Bogotá. And in Mexico, expectations remain strong due to the growth that the fourth version will have in this country.

I look forward to your comments on the industry in [email protected]
