Colombia. Between September 14 and 16 will be held in Sabaneta, Colombia, the fourth fair ComuTV 2011, which brings together all the representatives of community television in Colombia with their suppliers.
In conversation with AVI LATINOAMÉRICA, Sergio Restrepo, director of the Multiactive Cooperative of Community Television, ComuTV, and organizer of the fair, explained that this year it will have an academic program divided into three segments: technical, administrative and production.
For the installation of the fair is announced the Minister of Information and Communications Technologies, Diego Molano, the television commissioner Mauricio Samudio and Juan Guillermo Cano, manager of Asoredes.
One of the special guests that the fair will have for its conferences is the renowned Colombian journalist Manuel Teodoro. To know all the academic programming, click here.
They will also present the ComuTV awards, recognition of the productions of community channels and that has become a motivation to improve the quality of products. This year it will award 13 categories.
Sergio Restrepo highlighted the growth that the fair has had during its four years. "In 2008, after a lot of effort, we managed to have 15 stands, 150 people visited us and few international private channels accompanied us. For this year we have 60 stands, 100 private channels and we expect 1,800 people."
ComuTV 2011 will be held at the Aves María convention center and AVI LATINOAMÉRICA will be accompanying this fair.
