Arthur Holm wins two awards for his designs

Latin America. Manufacturers and designers from 54 different countries presented a record number of 5,500 innovative products at the Red Dot Award Product Design 2017 and 39 international experts gathered in Essen to see each of the objects in a process that lasted for several days to decide which would be the winners of this 2017 edition.

Thanks to their experience, the experts evaluated the intercultural aspects of design thoroughly, ensuring a fair choice process and valuing the design strategies of manufacturers and designers around the world.

Two of these prestigious awards were given to Arthur Holm: one for DB2 and one for UnderCover, in recognition of the magnificent quality and uniqueness of the design of both products. The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, July 3, 2017.

DB2 Arthur Holm
DB2 is a new range of motorized monitors that creates a minimal impact on the design of the furniture (20 mm.de thick): they are very easy to integrate, intuitive to use (a single button aligned with the monitor itself) and practically invisible in storage position (they do not have a tabletop cover). The monitors are elegant from any angle and very discreet, disappearing inside the furniture through a silent and harmonious movement. Design and functionality have been wisely combined to create this exclusive range of products.

DB2 monitors are made entirely of aluminium and feature a double-sided front glass with an anti-reflective treatment. They are equipped with a low-power video controller and have an ingenious system for configuration and control. A small 2.2" display allows local and remote configuration without the need to remove the screen from the table. The AHnet communication protocol allows remote control of different monitor functions, including brightness, contrast and backlight. The ERT module has a system to configure remote addressing by pressing a single button. This new product range is available in 17 and 22" with native Full HD resolution and two DVI inputs, compatible with HDCP.

UnderCover by Arthur Holm
DynamicX2 UnderCover is a motorized monitor, designed to disappear completely under the table, through a patented lid system that allows an easy coating in order to integrate perfectly with the material used for the finishing of the furniture.

The system is fully flexible, allowing the integration of audio conferencing systems, retractable wiring and different connections such as HDMI, RJ45, USB, among others. The lid slides into the interior of the furniture leaving access to technology, and covers it completely, thus providing a uniform finish of the furniture surface.
