Latin America. Power amplifier manufacturer Powersoft will provide attendees at infoComm Show in Orlando with the opportunity to earn certification renewal credits while learning how to easily design and specify fixed installation systems using the DSP built into Class D power amplifiers.
This will be possible through an on-site training session led by Powersoft's Marc Kocks that will also give 1.5 Renewal Units – or Renewal Units (RUs) – and a Certificate of Participation.
Powersoft has been named Official Provider of InfoComm International Renewal Unit (UK). This will allow more than 10,000 professionals who already hold a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential from InfoComm International to obtain renewal units of their certification upon completion of Powersoft educational programs.
The session is entitled "How to Optimize the Design of Fixed Installations Using the DSP in Class D Amplifiers", and will be held during the fair on June 15 from 1:00 p.m to 2:30 p.m.
Kocks, Powersoft's Business Development Manager for Fixed Installations, will introduce attendees to the digital tools that make designing a system a breeze with Powersoft. You will also explore the fundamentals of Powersoft switching technology, advanced DSP features, and networking functionality within the context of installed system design.
Any holder of an InfoComm International Certified Technology Specialist credential will receive one and a half units of renewal to maintain their certification for participation in the session. Powersoft will also grant a Certificate of Participation for each attendee to add to their credentials.
"This session is a fantastic opportunity for InfoComm attendees to renew their CTS certification while gaining valuable knowledge on how to best leverage DSP functionality in our products," said Kocks. "It will be a highly informative 90-minute course that will surely help integrators provide optimal results for their customers, both in efficiency and sound quality."
Kocks, a fixed installation specialist who joined the Powersoft team in 2016, brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the design, project management and integration of theaters, sports arenas, theme parks and many other systems. His academic background also includes education in electronics, acoustics and electroacoustics, being qualified to guide session participants through the process of specifying systems using Class D amplifiers with integrated DSP.
Registration is required for this session, which can already be done on a first-come, first-served basis until availability is exhausted for those registered for the fair. To register, click here and navigate to the MT61 course.
