Mexico. In recent months, numerous audio and video system rental companies around the world have chosen Bose Professional's ShowMatch™ compact linear array system, with DeltaQ™ variable coverage technology, as the ideal choice to add to their inventory.
In Latin American markets, rental companies work on the dissemination of technology and demonstration of the system in concerts, festivals and private events. Such is the case of the company T&S Group (Quito, Ecuador) who organized a ShowMatch training and certification event, aimed at owners and operators of the system, as well as installation and sound reinforcement technicians.
In Mexico, the system has been used in concerts such as Bowie Rock Sinfónico, held in August in the Naucalli Park of the State of Mexico, for an audience of more than a thousand people, and through the joint work of the companies Ponle Audio and Símbolos Producciones, ShowMatch sounded a showcase of La Maldita Vecindad at the inauguration of the new H&M mega-store in the Historic Center of Mexico City. The same dumbbell installed a score of ShowMatch equipment for use as sound reinforcement in side fill and front fill applications in the concert of the same band, held at the Astros Tent, last Saturday, December 9.
In the United States, Total Production Group (TGP) of Cerritos, California, is a great example of a full-service av rental company, which has adopted ShowMatch.
Across Europe, ShowMatch systems are used by more than two dozen rental houses, aiding in the production of events for product launches, business conventions, jazz festivals, civic ceremonies and rock concerts.
As an example is the firm Xeos (Strasbourg, France) who recently concluded a series of events for the automotive company Peugeot. In Italy, meanwhile, the company Sonique Live was in charge of sounding the concert of the band Marillion at the Teatro Degli Arcimboldi for 2,400 people in the city of Milan, while the also Italian Star Service added a ShowMatch system of 24 modules and 12 SMS118 subwoofers to its arsenal, which it used during the open-air festival Piano City Milano.
In Asia, av rental integrator and firm Really A/V (Shanghai, China) serves a variety of corporate and entertainment clients, including Victoria's Secret and Alibaba Group, China's largest online commerce company. Among the services they offer is a 24-module ShowMatch system with 12 SMS118 subwoofers.
Finally, in Australia, FOH engineer Anatole Day mixed artist Guy Sebastian's concert at the Newcastle Civic Theater, using a ShowMatch system in a floor-level configuration. "This was definitely the best-sounding show of the entire tour," Anatole said. "ShowMatch delivered high-quality audio in both subdued and thunderous songs."
