Latin America. Leyard announced the acquisition of Eyevis, a leading manufacturer of the display sector on the European continent. With this decision, Leyard intends to expand its sales reach, installation support and customer service throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Eyevis is a German company of large format LCD systems. It is one of the main suppliers and system integrators for professional applications in control rooms, broadcasting and virtual reality. Eyevis solutions include monitors, graphics drivers, software and accessories.
Teracue, manufacturer and supplier of professional IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) systems, was acquired by Eyevis in 2014 and is included in the current negotiation.
"This acquisition demonstrates our continued commitment to expanding and investing the brand worldwide. In addition, acquisitions like this are excellent opportunities to bring together the strengths and resources of companies in customer service and in the development of new markets," said Orlando Custodio, CEO of Leyard Brazil and Latin America, a subsidiary based in Curitiba.
Eyevis Chief Technology Officer Heiko Schaich said he was excited about the integration, the broader corporate environment and greater possibilities for development and sales. "This will provide growth and bring stability to our partners and customers after the difficult times Eyevis has experienced in recent months," he said.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is due to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
