Latin America. Boxlight announced that it has signed a global and exclusive agreement with Multi Touch Interactives (MTI), an international software development company, to create the next generation of interactive education activities for large format touch screens.
MTI will begin to develop, immediately, activities designed for the first years of primary and special education, aims to have a solid and versatile platform on which valuable collaborative education applications will be created. The applications will run exclusively on the Windows 10 system, will be designed and produced consecutively, allowing educators to create their own activities or modify existing ones.
Nigel Pearce and Peter Lambert head MTI, two interactive software veterans who have extensive experience in the field of educational software development, were instrumental in the initial development of ActivStudio and ActivPrimary; the precursors of ActivInspire offered in Promethean. Lambert is excited to work with Boxlight, to which he said, "Nigel and I are committed to developing the next generation of multi-touch software, stimulating student engagement while learning and reinforcing their basic knowledge."
Boxlight's software development alliance with MTI brings extensive interactive content that is integrated into Boxlight's MimioStudio™ content development, presentation, evaluation and collaboration software, to reinforce the pedagogical process. MTI activities will shine on the ProColor touch table, a touchscreen with 49-inch height adjustment and 4K resolution, which supports 20 simultaneous touch points, allowing students and educators to work together or independently – personalizing learning and teaching.
