ISE. After a decade of being on the market, Christie's MicroTiles have been updated with LED technology. Smaller, brighter, more powerful and more flexible, Christie MicroTiles LED will be presented this week in Amsterdam, at ISE 2019.
Ensuring P3 color space and absolute compliance with the HDR-10 standard, and with patented software that keeps the wall calibrated to 97% or with superior uniformity, Christie MicroTiles LED are perfect in broadcast sets, corporate spaces, museums, shops, stadiums, recreation centers or universities. The new solution includes a QuickMount™ system in line with the ADA accessible design standards, which allows you to create displays with any type of configuration and size, including 90º interior and exterior corners and concave and convex curves.
Its capabilities include its 12-bit input sources with 4K and 120Hz resolution, compliance with the HDR10 standard, integrated image processing, scaling and easy switching, aspects that combine to achieve unprecedented image quality.
The QuickMount system, a proprietary technology of Christie MicroTiles LED, eliminates the typical problems of LED installation, and does so using very precise mounting plates and anchors to the wall that can be easily installed on virtually any type of surface.
Once the laser-cut plate is installed, the small dimensions and light weight of the exempt mosaics minimize the difficulty of installation, take up less space and increase flexibility. A single Cat6 Ethernet PoE cable is enough to connect each of the modules to the display assembly, allowing a clean and simple wiring and drastically reducing the points of failure of the typical LED with box cube design. The magnetic click-n-go system makes filling the display with LED tiles incredibly fast.
The units have front access for repairs and maintenance, tasks that can be performed without interrupting operation. Technicians have free and complete access to all parts and the indicator lights give them immediate confirmation of status. To this we must add that the remote control and power system allows the components to be installed in suitable and easily accessible locations, at a distance from the videowall, thereby reducing heat, noise and complexity.
The intuitive and easy-to-use web-based control interface is accessible from any connected device, such as a laptop, tablet or mobile phone. The MicroTiles LED web user interface gives users a complete mastery of display assembly and control and management. And by adding processing, media servers or content management solutions from Christie or third parties, customers can benefit from an extraordinarily streamlined workflow.
