Video Mount Products celebrates its 25th anniversary

International. The provider of mounting solutions for the security, commercial, residential and professional audio/video markets, Video Mount Products, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

"It's amazing to think about all the technologies that have come and gone and economies from top to bottom since 1994. 25 years ago, when large-tube, square-tube TVs were all the rage, VMP quickly became a favorite for mounting these bulky CRTs on the walls and ceilings of bars, restaurants, gyms and other commercial venues," said Keith Fulmer, president of Video Mount Products and a 33-year industry veteran who joined VMP in 1996.

He added that since then, VMP has evolved along with an ever-expanding A/V industry to become a leading provider of flat panel mounting solutions, from installations in educational, institutional and religious applications to accommodation, sports facilities, health services, residential and restaurants.

25 years ago, video mounting products began as an OEM project to provide assemblies to a handful of Maryland electronic distributors whose customers operated multiple TV installations in small locations. The line began with a product offering of just six items and has grown into an industry leader that now offers nearly 200 SKUs to installation professionals in all facets of the A/V, communications, and security industries.

"While we started to strictly offer TV stands for CRT, we now offer an extensive line that includes brackets for flat panels and projectors, as well as racks and cabinets for data and A/V installations. In addition, we serve the needs of our wireless and broadband customers with a variety of antenna and satellite mounting products," said Fulmer.

Finally, he concluded that "VMP products have been designed and installed with confidence in thousands of A/V, communications and security applications around the world. We wouldn't celebrate our 25th anniversary without our customers, and that's why we put a huge emphasis on our customer service. VMP prides itself on offering the best products in the industry and backing them up with expert professionals who understand that 'support' is at the core of our business."
