Latin America. Barco has worked together with display mounting specialist Vogel's to create a curved mounting structure for its UniSee solution. This makes it possible to configure and repair the revolutionary curved bezel-less LCD video panel, and still maintain all the benefits offered by UniSee mounting, including perfect alignment, easy service and no risk of damaging the panels.
This further expands UniSee's mounting options and opens up many new opportunities in a wide variety of applications, including lobbies, control rooms, experience centers, transmission studios, and training and simulation centers.
The curved video walls create a spectacular feeling of immersion. Especially for larger installations, straight configurations are not easy to see in their entirety, resulting in suboptimal ergonomics.
Considering the difficulties during installation, it is obvious that maintenance is even more difficult. The removal of a single center panel is often impossible, so it is necessary to remove all screens to repair the video wall, which results in a very long service time (up to several days). The curved video wall solution developed jointly with Vogel's for Barco UniSee eliminates these challenges. In this way, it allows to guarantee all the unique installation and service benefits for which Barco UniSee is known in the market, regardless of the curvature of the wall.
Hassle-free installation, guaranteed and easy service
Vogel's new video wall solution for Barco UniSee allows a concave curved configuration from 0 to 10 degrees, in steps of 1 degree. It features all the core strengths of Barco UniSee, including optimal automatic alignment in all directions (X, Y and Z). The risk of screen damage during installations is significantly reduced and service has become fast and risk-free, thanks to the innovative sliding of the panels.
The complete solution is based on a solid backing structure offered by Vogel's in combination with curved crosses and special corner parts that are part of the UniSee curved accessory kit. In a first phase, this solution is available horizontally and vertically as a floor-to-wall mounting structure.
