Growing interest in AVIXA CTS certification in Colombia

Colombia. For three days, 21 professionals participated in the preparatory course for the CTS certification that AVIXA taught in Bogotá last weekend as a pre-fair activity to the InfoComm Colombia fair, which will be held from October 23 to 25. The training was provided by Nelson Baumgratz.

Ana María Restrepo, regional manager of AVIXA for Colombia and other countries in the region, told AVI LATINOAMÉRICA that professionals not only from Bogotá, but also from Medellín, Cali, Pereira and even Panama, belonging to different industry actors, such as distributors, integrators, rental companies and specialized media, participated in this training.

"High participation in the course demonstrates the interest of professionals with their personal and professional growth and development. The CTS is not only a certification, it is a commitment of each one towards the industry and best practices, "said Ana María Restrepo.

In the course, participants were able to know and review each of the topics on which the certification exam consults, as well as the dynamics of it and identify in which topics they have shortcomings that they must reinforce before presenting it.

According to information from AVIXA, Colombia today has five professionals certified in CTS and the previous week, Audio-Technica engineer Juan Tamayo, who is also a columnist for AVI LATINOAMÉRICA, became the first CTS-D in the country.

"Those who achieve the certification will be recognized internationally by ISO and will help the professional standard in Colombia set a higher limit," concluded the AVIXA representative.
