Datapath launched Wall Designer software for LED displays

Latin America. Datapath has released a new version of its popular Wall Designer software, which offers content downscaling capabilities that ensure the original aspect ratio is maintained, whatever the size or location.

Working seamlessly with Datapath's award-winning Fx4 controllers, the software also gives users the ability to easily create tiles, replicate, and readjust content for truly creative displays.

Available now as a free download, Wall Designer v2.2.0 offers a complete solution for project integrators facing multi-segment LED video wall design. When placed upstream of LED emitting devices, Datapath's Fx4 becomes a powerful and easy-to-use content manipulation tool, suitable for deployments of all sizes.

Providing seamless video synchronization across all outputs, the Fx4 makes it possible to build multiple independently sized LED devices on a single, unified display surface. The increased flexibility offered by the Wall Designer update means that content regions can now be adjusted to meet custom LED luminaire resolutions, scaling content to perfectly match the LED display at all times.

Another integrative benefit of Wall Designer software is the information it provides to enable easy setup. This includes information such as screen dimensions (in pixels and millimeters), bezel sizes, and refresh rates. The ability to choose from a list of previously used monitors, as well as add other monitors and even bespoke RGB LED configurations, has created software that makes setting up and deploying the display wall a joy, rather than a routine task.

A unique feature of Wall Designer is its user-controlled monitor database. The range of monitors in the app's database has grown to cover a huge and ever-growing number of unique devices, as users added their own monitors and submitted them to Datapath for inclusion.

By adding content region downscaling on each output, the edge update makes Wall Designer and the Fx4 solution perfectly suited for a wide range of applications, including live events, digital signage, corporate, and retail.

Wall Designer is available for Windows and MacOS systems and is now available as a free download from the Datapath website. Available for Datapath's Fx4, the software will also integrate with FX4SDI controllers in the coming weeks.
