9 out of 10 people want connected home benefits

Latin America. A connected house, with devices that speak as in the movies and drawings that talked about the future. This reality already exists and Samsung, which is a pioneer when it comes to this technology, can prove why. In a recent survey, consumers say they've already realized the benefits of a connected life and how much it optimizes their daily lives.

90% of respondents say they would like to have their home with all appliances connected, 50% believe this is feasible in Brazil and a third of people already take into account the ability to connect the equipment to other devices in the home.

More than 80% of respondents would invest in a refrigerator, washer and dryer and air conditioner that can be controlled by the smartphone, and 54% believe that setting the controls on the TV to automatically turn off all devices when you leave the house would be the most useful option in the everyday life of a connected home.

Based on this demand, Samsung, which is always attentive to the habits and desires of its consumers, created, in partnership with retailers, 13 connected spaces called Connected Living in 2019, in different regions of Brazil, to show consumers the connectivity of its product portfolio, especially when they are together in the same space.

"Samsung works to meet the wishes and expectations of consumers and is therefore a reference in this concept of connected home. The survey shows how much the Brazilian has been increasingly involved with innovation, which reinforces that we are on the right track. Our goal, increasingly, is to deliver the most connected products to optimize people's daily lives and provide never-before-seen experiences. In 2020, the idea is to further expand this project, with new connected homes. The new technological era is already a reality and Samsung has a broad portfolio to meet this demand," says Patrícia Pessoa, marketing director of samsung's Consumer Electronics division.

The central connection point for these connected products is SmartThings, an application available for Android and IOS, which integrates the concept of IoT (Internet of Things), ensures connectivity and works as a remote control of Samsung smart devices, through smartphones.
