"ConsorcioTec opens access to new products"

Roberto fuentes, PromusicaLatin America. Promúsica is a Uruguayan company that has been in the market since 1982. AVI LATINOAMÉRICA spoke with Roberto Fuentes, director of Promúsica, who stressed that although the company operates basically in Uruguay, they have developed important projects abroad, in countries such as Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil.

He stressed that "the audiovisual industry has grown a lot in Uruguay in recent years. The client is increasingly demanding because, fortunately, he is living new visual and sound experiences that have led him to have higher and higher requirements".

Among those experiences, there is access to sound equipment that even small sounds with excellence. And he enjoys it at home or in his car, in the cinema he has had the experience of "living" the audio from another perspective.

"The client has educated his ear and knows how to appreciate when the sound is good or on the contrary, when it is not so good. The same has happened with his visual experience. Therefore technology on the one hand and the market on the other, lead us to propose increasingly interesting and higher quality solutions. We see with great enthusiasm to be able to accompany these trends," said Roberto Fuentes.

Linking to ConsorcioTec
promusica, logoPromúsica is one of the AV integrators that is part of ConsorcioTec, the first purchasing group in Latin America. On the link of his company to this group, the director of Promúsica said that "ConsorcioTec opens access to new products that until now we did not handle. We hope to be able to train more and better and have access to more competitive prices."

Finally, on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the AV industry in his country, Roberto Fuentes said that it has been very strong, because they had closed projects that have been suspended or postponed, in the best of cases.

"It will take a long time to get back to the level of activity we had in advance. We are looking for a higher level of productivity in all areas in order to maintain the sources of work even when the level of activity has declined. The challenge is difficult, but we are achieving it," he concluded.
