ConsorcioTec™ Announces 42% Increase in Affiliate Rebates

Max Jaramillo / Milena Castaño

Latin America. At the close of the last quarter of 2020, ConsorcioTec is pleased to announce an increase in refunds for its affiliates of 42% compared to the first settlement of refunds for members in the third quarter of 2020.

"Despite the difficulties of 2020, we are seeing increased interest from integrators and suppliers to participate in ConsorcioTec," said Max Jaramillo, Chief Integrator Advocate, of the loyalty and group purchasing platform. "We have been working hard to register new integrators and suppliers. It is satisfying to see the cycle of purchases and refunds materialize for the benefit of our members."

Currently the program, the first of its kind in Latin America, has more than 60 affiliated integrators and more than 30 supplier brands in different low-voltage systems for buildings, including multimedia, networking and security. The 60 members account for more than $70 million in annual purchases of low-voltage products.

"The program is inspired by similar U.S.-based programs," Jaramillo said. "Our challenge, of course, is that we have to deal with a dozen different countries with their different tax and import structures. We have to work individually with each supplier and their sales channel to design an incentive program that makes sense for factories."

With the support of USAV & PSA Security, ConsorcioTec™ is also implementing its international referral program whereby U.S.-based system and security integrators affiliated with USAV and PSA Security can hire affiliates for local job requirements.

"We already have our first success story," Jaramillo continued. "A U.S.-based PSA Security member integrator had the requirement of a multinational company with operations in Mexico City. We were pleased to put them in touch with one of our members there. Approval has already been made by both parties; we will announce all the details soon."

For her part, Milena Castaño, from the Administrative Division of ConsorcioTec™, stressed that "As the economy and projects reactivate, the integrators members of ConsorcioTec™ show greater interest in taking advantage of the benefits provided by the preferred suppliers that are part of our purchasing group, this is reflected in the growth of rebates in the last quarter of 2020".
