InfoComm. Yamaha Unified Communications will conduct timely educational sessions at InfoComm 2021, October 23-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Holger Stoltze, Ph.D., senior director of technical sales and marketing at Yamaha UC, a respected thought leader in the conferencing and collaboration industry, will help AV professionals better understand beamforming microphone solutions, as well as join a panel discussion on how to achieve clear audio for conferences using the latest conferencing technologies.
"Audio quality has never been more relevant than it is today, but as an AV integrator, it can be extremely difficult to understand how the latest solutions work, the differences in technology, and how to select the best solution to ensure clarity in conversations," Stoltze said. "I am excited to return to InfoComm as a speaker immediately following the launch of our new ADECIA ceiling microphone solution because it exemplifies the technology needed for installers to create the best possible audio conferencing experience while breaking down many of the challenges that can impede their success."
Stoltze will take the floor during the session "Deciphering the Technological Differences in Beamforming Microphone Solutions" on Tuesday, October 26, from 8:30 to 9:30 am. It will highlight why microphone beamforming technology has increased in many products and applications, from smart home assistant, conference desk phone, and video camera for small meeting rooms to microphone soundbars and ceiling microphone panels.
This session will explain the science and technology behind beamforming microphones and then discuss the differences in common beamforming solutions. The advantages and disadvantages of different solutions will also be discussed, which will help integrators make the right decisions about beamforming technology for different applications and environments.
At the "Clear Audio for Conferencing" audio conferencing and collaboration training session on Tuesday, October 26, from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., Stoltze will join moderator Tim Albright, president of AVNation TV and JayJay Kim, solutions architect at Zoom Communications for a timely discussion on conference audio quality.
The panel will discuss how to work together, but separately, has highlighted the critical need for clear audio in conferences and collaboration. They will explore the state of audio technologies for conferencing, including beamforming microphones, echo cancellation, and more.
