Videoconferencing, an essential tool today

TecnoMultimedia México

Mexico. IDC International Corporation of (DATA) for its acronym in English: it is very clear. Mexico will record IT market growth by 2022 of approximately 10% above forecast, which means a development above the estimated regional GDP by 2.3%.

Faced with the growth in the adoption of new ICT tools, companies such as LatinPress develop throughout Latin America different fairs and events that bring the latest in technological developments. Mexico is one of the key markets for this segment, that is why it hosts again the TecnoMultimedia TMI fair, which brings together the best exponents of audio, video, streaming, home automation, voice, and other technologies, being videoconferencing, a technology that grows exponentially driven by the pandemic that has afflicted us for 3 years ago.

According to figures from Deloitte, 46% of Mexicans make video calls constantly, to position itself as the second most frequent online activity with 71%.

verónica saldarriagaFaced with this trend in the country, Verónica Saldarriaga, regional sales director for Latin America of the Mersive company and TMI exhibitor, highlights videoconferencing as a platform for contribution and distribution of content for companies that has grown due to the need for a new work culture such as home office.

Latin America and the rest of the planet are facing a health crisis never seen before coupled with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine that has put Mexico in a very difficult situation in the face of sustained growth, reported by the IMF and GDP growth indicators with a forecast of less than 2.5%. IT markets in the region face significant technological challenges, such as the lack of components for the delivery of enterprise hardware, in addition to a talent crisis that leads to wage inflation that impacts companies and the distribution chain.

eduardo echeverriaHowever, one of the challenges facing Mexico according to Eduardo Echeverria, CEO of Virtual Corporación and exhibitor of TecnoMultimedia, is to promote "research and development in order to accelerate the use cases of collaboration, contribution and distribution of content platforms, using connectivity technologies in 5G and in multiple industries such as manufacturing, health, motor transport, corporate and government public services", where videoconferencing will face a double challenge: modernize infrastructures and technologies taking full advantage of the collaborative cloud and including, for its digital transformation, hybrid infrastructure and the use of physical infrastructures, making workflows and investments of companies more efficient to improve the experiences of users and end customers.

For its part, the business sector must work on increasing the development of solutions that counteract low latency, improve the end-user experience and continue to allow process automation.

TecnoMultimedia Mexico will be held from August 17 to 19 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. You can know all the details of the fair in www.tecnomultimedia.com
