Latin America. Ushio Inc., Christie's parent company, announced the appointment of Koji Naito as the new director and CEO of Christie Digital Systems worldwide.
Starting April 1, Koji, who to date has been president and CEO of Japanese company Ushio Inc., will oversee the two companies. Koji succeeds Hideaki Onishi, who becomes the company's new president and chief operating officer (COO).
Atsushi Kuroda, from Sharp NEC Display Solutions, Ltd and currently Chief Executive Officer of Christie's Strategy Office, will continue to lead the brand's strategy and succeed Zoran Veselic as the company's Chief Technology Officer.
After nearly four decades of increasing responsibilities at Ushio, Koji brings strong leadership, extensive industry experience and credibility to Christie. As a business leader, Koji aspires to combine the management models, business strategies and philosophies of the two companies as a guarantee of success. For him, understanding customer needs and continuing to progress towards achieving global sustainable practices are fundamental tasks, as is the company's essential objective of promoting lighting and energy to support human well-being and social advancement.
