Guatemala. With an expectation of growth in the number of projects of 25% compared to 2022 in Guatemala, Sergio Galindo, General Manager of Vosmedia, declared himself with greater optimism regarding the previous 3 years of the pandemic.
He indicated to AVI Latin America that the sectors will help achieve this growth due to the number of solutions they demand, they are:
- The Corporate, with the reappearance of its offices is demanding more projects.
- Government and Supporting Organizations are demanding more projects
- Construction is demanding more projects, although here you must be very creative to meet the tight budgets they have in each segment
When talking about trends, he pointed out that LED screens for meeting rooms or classrooms are generating interest, as well as large TVs replacing video projectors, digital advertising replacing traditional and video conferencing based on cloud services replacing traditional ones.
On the shortage of equipment that the industry is experiencing, Sergio Galindo stressed that "2022 took us by surprise the shortage of equipment of some brands and we had to renegotiate with customers to make changes of model or brand. In 2023 some brands continue with delays, but customers are already more open to accepting changes."
Facing InfoComm Show 2023, he hopes to find a technological and commercial boom with new solutions that solve the great needs that the pandemic revealed. "For example, cloud video conferencing was the salvation for virtual education and work, however, there were no flexible and economical solutions so there was a serious waste of time in education. This year we hope to recover the 3 years of turbulence of the pandemic and manage to find really effective solutions within the reach of the clients' budget".
