Argentina. The auditorium of the new Juncal Building of the German Hospital of Argentina has a capacity for 120 people. It has state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, an operation booth, a translation booth and a stage with integrated technology. It allows simultaneous transmission from the operating rooms, videoconferences and projections, all simultaneously.
After a long selection process, Hospital Alemán and AFS Arquitectos selected Proyecciones Digitales S.A. to carry out the design, executive project and installation of the audiovisual equipment of the auditorium. The client's requirement was to achieve a modern auditorium, which allows integration with ten operating rooms by a unified communication system. In addition, it had to reflect the spirit of the new building.
The project presented two major challenges. First, the distribution of geometric space; Shallow, very wide and with multiple columns within it. Second, understand technology and how to integrate it.
To solve these challenges, a screen of 12 x 2.50 meters and three Epson Laser WUXGA projectors (1920x1200) of 12000 lumens were installed that allow projecting a single image of 12 meters wide or 3 individual images of 4 x 2.50 meters. This system makes it possible to project surgeries in vivo or deferred with the best visual conditions.
For the administration of the auditorium we have Crestron technology for the automation, control and processing of audio and video signals. A control cabin was installed, where an operator can solve all the needs of the auditorium from multiple interfaces, with preset scenarios for different usage situations. The concept of a professional operator was replicated in a pleasant and easy to use interface, as well as the practicality for the operation for untrained users through the possibility of self-management.
One of the essential aspects was the audio solution through line array and monitors that allow the correct distribution of audio throughout the auditorium. The system was equalized and took into account the acoustic treatments throughout the project, allowing an optimal intelligibility of the word.
Also included:
• Teams video conferencing service
• Simultaneous translation booth
• CCTV services
• Digital sound processing.
• Wireless microphones
• Local and cloud recording media.
• Integration to lighting control.
The result was an auditorium adapted for live presentations, conferences, round tables, training and oratories among other uses, complying with AVIXA standards that guarantee audiovisual demands.
