Colombia. Crestron Service Provider is an award given by the manufacturer to people to sell Crestron services, such as programming and project specification. It is a program that operated only in the United States and is now opening up to Latin America, naming Juan Carlos Gutiérrez as the first CSP in the region.
AVI Latin America spoke with Juan Carlos Gutiérrez about this recognition. He stressed that to achieve this, it is required "basically a lot of experience, doing the homework, training, attending Crestron events, which is where they give all the information, everything new that is coming. So, Crestron sees you as a capable person and you're not going to make the brand look bad."
Juan Carlos is the manager of the Colombian firm Integración AV, but his journey in automation and project design with Crestron began in 2006, after graduating from university as a sound engineer and joining an integrator company, where he learned everything related to video and automation.
"It's been 17 years of programming, code, looking at the matrix. From there with Crestron. Now, as a CSP, it's an achievement that, first, I didn't expect, and second, it's a way for you to measure yourself, to know what level you're at and that you're doing things right. They are one of those recognitions thanks to all the study and all the practice that one acquires," he said.
Finally, he highlighted his relationship with Crestron that "I started with Crestron and I fell in love with the brand, with the products, they are very robust and thanks to that I sleep peacefully. Delivering a project to a working customer, with the assurance that the system will not fail, with robust, very good quality and durable equipment, gives you a lot of peace of mind."
