Mexico. "The dynamics we are experiencing in Mexico are very good, we started with many active projects and in the first months of the year we have attended to a very important number of requests to develop AV projects. We noticed a continuous effort from our customers to update their AV systems and that has generated a very positive environment."
This is the balance of the beginning of the year in the Mexican audiovisual industry made by Juan Carlos Medina, director of Viewhaus, in conversation with AVI Latin America. One of the most demanding projects in which he has recently participated was the integration into the business school for one of the most important universities in Guadalajara.
"The challenge was to equip a building with more than 21 spaces with state-of-the-art AV technology and very innovative applications. From complete video walls, to the use of virtual reality for student practices. Control and automation systems to generate a very user-friendly experience, installation of monitoring and screens for financial data analysis, video systems that facilitate the study of human behavior, classrooms with collaboration technology, meeting rooms for videoconferencing and remote collaboration environments, among others."
Finally, in terms of sustainability, Viewhaus has a few years of history and in recent months has given a lot of impetus to this issue. Since 2015 they began with the installation of solar panels to produce 80% of their electricity consumption, that same year they started their plan for adequate waste management and material recycling, as well as the reduction of plastic use in the facilities.
"Starting in 2023 I got involved with the SAVe organization, which promotes sustainability in the AV industry, I was appointed ambassador in Mexico and recently a member of the Board of Directors. Together with SAVe, my fellow ambassadors in Latin America, we have done a very important job of promoting the initiative and SAVe's programs, such as "a second life", we are recruiting all those interested and soon we will teach the SAVe certification in Spanish for all the Latino public, so we are very active in this matter and we want many leaders and companies to join this cause."
