
The Japanese company stated that the suggested price is $2,900 for a 50-inch computer, a pair of glasses and a three-dimensional Blu-ray player. The extra pair of glasses costs $150.
So far Panasonic only offers the 50-inch TV, but for the third quarter of the year will promote the formats of 42 and 65 inches, with which it hopes to achieve its goal of one million units sold in the world this 2010.
Samsung Electronics Co. announced that its 3D products will go on sale in mid-March, worth $3,000 that includes a 46-inch TV, two pairs of glasses and a 3D player, as well as a copy of the Monsters Vs. Aliens movie also in the third dimension. The South Korean company has a 55-inch device that will cost $3,300.
LG Electronics Inc and Sony Corp will promote their 3D lines and products in May and summer, respectively.
The American consultancy Isupply estimates that the sale of high-definition televisions in three dimensions will grow to a total of 78 million units in 2015.
