International. On October 31, on par with Halloween, World Savings Day has been commemorated since 1924 and that is why this year the lighting manufacturer Osram decided to join this commemoration with a series of tips to save through lighting.
As indicated by the company, there are 10 tips that will allow everyone to make smart use of lighting, both for homes and for companies, which will generate money savings when paying bills. The recommendations are:
* Take advantage of natural light whenever possible.
* Use light colors on walls and ceilings: they reflect light better and absorb it less.
* Keep lamps and screens clean: increase the brightness without raising the power.
* Replace, little by little, damaged incandescent bulbs with ECO halogen bulbs: they are the cheapest alternative in purchase price, consume up to 30% less, last twice as long and can be disposed of with household waste because they do not contain electrical components or mercury.
* Buy halogen bulbs according to the amount of light they produce (lumens) and not by watts.
* Choose halogen bulbs, all are 100% adjustable: they allow you to adapt the intensity of the light.
* Regulate halogen bulbs giving preference to localized lighting: save and achieve more comfortable environments.
* In lobbies, garages and common areas, install presence detectors so that the lights turn on and off automatically.
* Place light intensity regulators.
* Check the European Union energy label on which it is identified, from A to G, according to its efficiency level.
