International. Since 2011 the companies TC-Helicon, with experience in voice processing, and Sennheiser, an audio specialist, have been working on research and development of equipment, work of which the result will be known at the end of January during the Namm fair, which will be framed in the field of microphones for vocal effects.
"The initial spark to start working together was NAMM 2011, where TC-Helicon debuted a microphone with controls for vocal effects and Sennheiser presented 'Concept Tahoe', a microphone for beatboxing, developed in its research laboratory in the US. "Said Kevin Alexander, CEO of TC-Helicon.
Since that year the two companies started a research project in partnership, exploring how to connect their products to provide one-step solutions for singers and musicians.
Michael Polten, Director of Customer Relationship Management at Sennheiser (pictured), added: "We sat together at the fair in a very open and friendly environment and talked about the work we were doing in our respective companies. We immediately recognized each other as partners because our brands were a perfect fit."
And while the two companies did not reveal further details of the product they will unveil next week, the result is expected to be a state-of-the-art microphone to support the work of singers and musicians.
