Through these, the tournament organizers innovated by allowing sponsors to broadcast their advertising at all times of the tournament, from morning to sunset. The producers of the tournament strategically placed one LED screen between the sponsors' tents and the other LED screen on a hole passing the plays of the outstanding participants.
The tournament was played in teams of two players under the fourball modality. 36 teams representing 21 countries, which competed to reach the cup.
The objective of the new cup was the growth of golf in the region, since it will be played every year in different countries of Latin America. The Argentine duo Emilio Dominguez and Rafael Echenique prevailed in the exciting final and triumphed against the American couple, with a putt for eagle on the final hole with 246 strokes, 38-under par. The locals won the title and took the prize of USD 120,000.
